The Villa Belpoggio residence in Tuscany is situated in a unique, quiet location in the heart of Chianti near Arezzo: on a panoramic hill just 5 minutes from the delectable medieval villages of Loro Ciuffenna and Castelfranco di Sopra, famous as “one of the most beautiful villages in Italy”. The nearby motorway will zip you straight to the grand cities of Tuscan art.

Villa Belpoggio is no ordinary hotel: this historic Tuscan residence started life in the 17th century as a home for a noble family and after for an order of monks.  Four centuries later and Villa Belpoggio has been carefully and tastefully restored as a modern hotel with charm in the heart of Tuscany.

Every evening at Belpoggio it is possible to taste the products of our region served with the bistrot formula:  a selection of cold cuts and cheeses served with local Tuscan wines or from others regions.  At sunset, in the garden, you will enjoy our aperitifs with appetizers.

Tuscan Cooking Classes

In the morning or afternoon the participants gather around our chef’s grand table to prepare a 4-course meal to be enjoyed together later on. Fresh pasta, Tuscan-style meat, dishes seasoned with the villa’s own extra-virgin olive oil, and seasonal vegetables from the local market, traditional desserts and pastries and fragrant Tuscan bread.  Learning to cook a whole Tuscan meal is the best souvenir you could take home!

From our historic boutique hotel in Tuscany you can easily explore Chianti, land of wine and superb gastronomy, shop in one of the large fashion outlet stores, quickly reach Arezzo (35 km), Florence (45 km), Siena (60 km), or visit the Casentino or the beautiful churches of Valdarno.

Just 8 km from the Relais Villa Belpoggio is the train station at San Giovanni Valdarno: in 30 minutes you’ll comfortably arrive in the heart of Florence, bypassing any parking stress.

The Relais Villa Belpoggio is not just the perfect place to relax far from the noise of traffic – ideally with a nice glass of prosecco by the pool.

This is also the ideal departure point for walks, hikes, horse rides through the olive-spotted hills or through the small villages hidden among the folds of our land.
